Beyond ‘artificial intelligence’: against anthropomorphizing algorithmic systems for screening

As a PhD candidate in the ethics of AI for lung cancer screening at MERAI lab, I have the opportunity to conduct my research within an interdisciplinary context. Working alongside engineers and radiologists at RadboudUMC Medical Imaging department, I am exposed to the lexicon used in this research field. My philosophical background pushes me to critically reflect around language and its use.
